HOW IT WORKS

The full 8-session intensive is fully customized for your child.

  • Step 1: Book the session and submit a writing sample.

    To book, you must will upload a recent writing sample from your child. Please include the prompt or question they were answering if available.


    The sample must be:

    • A paragraph or essay
    • typed or written
    • 2 pages max

  • Step 2: I review the writing sample before the session.

    I look for strengths, growth areas, patterns, and the skill that would create the most improvement.

  • Step 3: Your child attends a 1:1 coaching session.

    During the session, we will review one priority writing skill and practice it together.

  • Step 4: You receive next-step recommendations.

    After the session, I will recommend the best next step based on your child’s needs.

    Possible recommendations may include:

    • Saturday Writing Workshop for a strong foundation

    • Independent practice at home
    • A specific writing skill to focus on next

This session is not a full tutoring package. It is designed to identify your child’s current writing needs, provide targeted instruction, and recommend the clearest next step.

How do I know if this is right for my child?

The Intro Session helps determine fit while giving students real support from the first meeting.

My child doesn’t enjoy writing — will this still help?

What if my child is already a strong writer?

That’s completely fine — many strong writers still need support with deeper analysis, organization, reasoning, and idea development.

Will this help with school assignments?

Yes. While sessions are not simply homework help, students learn writing and analytical skills they can apply directly to essays, literary responses, research assignments, and academic writing across subjects.

How quickly will I see improvement?
